The flat filaments which are prepared from a raw material formed by mixing polypropylene PP and high-density polyethylene HDPE at the weight ratio of (99-95):(5:1) are adopted as the wefts and warps, the sizes of the wefts and the warps are (10-14)*(10-14) per inch, and the gram weight is 90-130g/m . The high-strength light-proof weed mat has the characteristics of being high in strength and light-proof, and is good in wefts and warps softness, high in strength and convenient to produce. 本发明公开了种高强度的不透光防草布及其生产方法，防草布由经纬纱制造而成，包括步骤混料、上料、挤出、牵伸拉丝、定型、收卷制得扁丝，然后织造制得防草布，其中经纬纱采用聚丙烯PP和高密度聚乙烯HDPE按重量比99-95:5-1混成的原料所制成的扁丝，10-14*10-14根/英寸，克重为90-130克/m。本发明具有强度高、不透光的特性，同时经纬纱柔软性好，强度高，便于生产。
