Abstract | An embodiment of the invention discloses a message anti-attack method and an apparatus thereof. The method and the apparatus are applied to a forwarding chip in a broadband access server BRAS. The message anti-attack method comprises the following steps that the forwarding chip of the BRAS receives a synchronous message; the forwarding chip determines that a source address of the synchronous message does not pass authentication, a destination address of the synchronous message belongs to an address scope which a unauthorized user does not allow to access, and a TCP port of the synchronous message corresponds to a hyper text transmission protocol; and the forwarding chip generates and sends a proxy synchronous acknowledgement message. By using the method, a condition that a processing unit establishes transmission control protocol connection of a hypertext transmission protocol for equipment which does not pass portal authentication can be avoided and a portal inlet attack can be prevented.
