Abstract The invention discloses an indoor fan control method for an air conditioner. The indoor fan control method comprises the following steps: acquiring and storing indoor temperature of the environment in which the air conditioner is positioned in real time or periodically; calculating the change rate of the indoor temperature according to the acquired and stored indoor temperature, and acquiring the rotating speed corresponding to the change rate, wherein the change rate of the indoor temperature is greater, the rotating speed of an indoor fan is lower; adjusting the current rotating speed of the indoor fan to be the acquired rotating speed. The invention also discloses an indoor fan control device for the air conditioner, when the indoor temperature changes greatly, the change rate of the indoor temperature is reduced by reducing the rotating speed of the indoor fan, so that the indoor temperature is prevented from changing too quickly; the temperature is controlled stably; meanwhile, a compressor is not requir
