Abstract | The invention provides an electric winch with two winching sensing motors. Even one of the two winching sensing motors breaks down, operation can continue automatically. The electric winch comprises two sensing motors used for performing ascending and descending movement; an inverter used for driving the two sensing motors; an encoder generating pulses corresponding to the rotating speeds of the two sensing motors; current sensors used for detecting the respective currents of each phase of the two sensing motors; an inverter controller which detects whether any of the two sensing motors breaks down according to the rotating speeds detected by the encoder and the current values detected by the current sensors, and when detecting that one of the two sensing motors breaks down, controls the inverter to make the sensing motor with no fault detected run only.
