Abstract | The invention provides a flow control strategy processing method and apparatus. The method comprises the steps that a BGP module of a network device receives a FlowSpec flow control strategy sent by an EBGP neighbor, and sends a redirection next hop address carried in the flow control strategy to an iteration module, the iteration module sends an iteration result change notification to the BGP module in the case of a reachability change of the next hop address or an optimal matching routing change of the next hop address, and the BGP module checks the validity of the next hop address again according to the iteration result change notification, and processes the flow control strategy according to a validity check result.
