Abstract | The invention discloses a reduction smelting system and reduction smelting method for vanadium-titanium magnetite ore or ilmenite. The reduction smelting system for the vanadium-titanium magnetite ore or the ilmenite comprises a rotary kiln used for pre-reducing magnetically separated vanadium-titanium magnetite ore or ilmenite, a burning nozzle used for jetting flames into a kiln cavity of the rotary kiln, an electric furnace which is provided with a second feeding port, an iron discharging port, a slag discharging port and a smoke outlet, and a hot material conveying device, wherein the rotary kiln is provided with a first feeding port, a roasted product outlet and a burning nozzle installing port; the burning nozzle is arranged at the position of the burning nozzle installing port; and one end of the hot material conveying device is connected with the roasted product outlet, and the other end of the hot material conveying device is connected with the second feeding port.
