Abstract The invention discloses a method for deep treatment of oil-based rock debris. The method is proposed oriented to the feature of the oil-based rock debris, the technology route of preparation and activation of rock debris slurry, combined demulsification and oil removing, first-level ozone oxidation, second-level ozone oxidation, flocculating settling and horizontal screw centrifugal separation is adopted for deep treatment of the oil-based rock debris generated in the exploitation process of unconventional oil and gas resources such as shale gas tight gas, removal of biological toxic matter and organic ingredients in the rock debris is enhanced, the oil content of the rock debris discharged out of a horizontal screw centrifugal device is reduced to 0.12% which is lower than the discharge standard regulated in the national standard of the Control Standard for Pollutants in Agricultural Sludge (GB4284-84), and the various effects of recycling petroleum resources, reducing the content of pollutants, improving ro
