The invention discloses a distribution network accident information recording system and method based on the Linux system. The distribution network accident information recording system based on the Linux system comprises an accident information receiving module, an accident information recording module, and a storage filing information module. The method comprises the following steps of acquiring fault information; recording fault information; and storing fault information. After a distribution network accident happens, the system can automatically record accident occurring time, fault lines, protective action conditions, reclosing conditions, line sending-out time, etc. and help a regulation controller accurately record accident information. The workloads of the distribution network regulation and control personnel can be alleviated to a certain degree. Problems existing in a conventional distribution network regulation and control process and characterized by relatively low accuracy of manual operations, relatively low working efficiency and incomplete information are well solved.
