Abstract The present invention provides a hydraulic oil composition comprising: a lubricant oil base oil which has a kinematic viscosity of 15 to 50 mm2/s at 40 DEG C and a viscosity index of 125 or less and contains an aromatic component in an amount of 1 mass% or more; and a polymethacrylate which is contained in an amount of 1 to 40 mass% relative to the whole amount of the hydraulic oil composition and has a number average molecular weight of 28000 or less.
