Abstract The invention relates to a surface film forming chlorinated butyl rubber stopper and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) preparing the following materials in percentage by weight: 30-45% of isoprene chloride-isobutene rubber, 35-55% of an aluminum silicate filler, 3-5% of a crosslinking agent, 0.5-1.5% of a coloring agent and 5-15% of polyolefin; (2) sequentially adding the isoprene chloride-isobutene rubber, the aluminum silicate filler, the crosslinking agent and the coloring agent weighed in the step (1) into a closed stirring machine, mixing at 140-160 DEG C, and cooling to the room temperature; (3) adding the weighed polyolefin into the product prepared in the step (2) to mix again, controlling the mixing temperature to be not more than 100 DEG C, and cooling to the room temperature; and (4) performing compression molding forming or injection molding on the product prepared in the step (3) at 170-190 DEG C to obtain the surface film forming chlorinated butyl rubber stopper. The preparation method is simple in process, free from pollution, easy for control over the production condition and good in product quality.
