Abstract The present invention provides a display panel and a drive method thereof. The display panel comprises a first pixel, a second pixel, a third pixel, and a control circuit which is configured to electrically couple with the plurality of pixels and receive a first display data, a second display data and a third display data with respect to the first pixel, the second pixel and the third pixel, each display data including a first color display data, a second color display data and a third color display data. When the difference of the luminance of the third color display data with respect to the first pixel and the luminance of the third color display data with respect to the second pixel and the third pixel is greater than a luminance threshold value, the luminance of the third display data with respect to the first pixel is distributed to one of the second pixel and the third pixel through a control circuit, and is displayed.
