The invention provides a set top box, a pre-warning system and a pre-warning method. The set top box comprises an acquisition unit, a pre-warning signaling processing unit and an audio output unit, wherein the acquisition unit is connected with an external CA (Conditional Access) system, and is also connected with the pre-warning signaling processing unit; the pre-warning signaling processing unit is also connected with the audio output unit; the acquisition unit is used for receiving pre-warning EMM (Entitlement Management Message) data carrying current pre-warning signaling transmitted by a pre-warning center through the CA system, and resolving the pre-warning EMM data to obtain current pre-warning signaling; the pre-warning signaling processing unit is used for determining an audio pre-warning file corresponding to the current pre-warning signaling according to the current pre-warning signaling; and the audio output unit is used for outputting the audio pre-warning file. Through adoption of the set top box, the pre-warning system and the pre-warning method provided by the invention, pre-warning information can be transmitted through the set top box.
