Abstract The embodiment of the invention discloses a network file transmission optimization method, and aims to solve the problems of network resource waste and low transmission efficiency since the existing file transmission mode is easily affected by a network state. The method provided by the embodiment of the invention comprises the following steps: acquiring current first network traffic of a host; predicting according to a pre-established traffic model and the first network traffic to obtain future second network traffic of the host; analyzing the probability that the second network traffic exceeds a preset traffic threshold value to obtain an analysis result; segmenting a file to be transmitted into corresponding data blocks to transmit according to the analysis result and a preset segmentation standard.
