The invention relates to a method for controlling glass to be heated in the glass toughening process. The method includes the steps that a plurality of temperature sensors used for detecting the temperature of the glass in a heating section are arranged on the heating section of a glass toughening furnace, the temperature sensors are connected with a control center of the glass toughening furnace, the control center is further connected with a transmission mechanism controller of the heating section, the temperature needing to be reached by the glass on the heating section through heating is set in advance according to different sorts of glass to be toughened before the glass is heated, when the temperature sensors detect that the temperature of the glass reaches the set temperature in the glass heating process, the control center sends an instruction to the transmission mechanism controller, the glass is moved out of the heating section, the next process is executed, an original mode that heating time is judged according to the experience of operators is changed, the percent of pass of finally-obtained toughened glass products is high, and the quality of the products is stable.
