Abstract The invention provides an extraction system and an extraction method of coal liquefaction residues. The extraction system comprises a supercritical carbon dioxide generation unit and an extraction unit which is communicated with the supercritical carbon dioxide generation unit. According to the extraction system, firstly the supercritical carbon dioxide generation unit is utilized for generating a supercritical carbon dioxide fluid, and secondly, the supercritical carbon dioxide fluid is utilized for extracting the coal liquefaction residues in the extraction unit; the diffusivity of the supercritical carbon dioxide fluid is 10 times of that of normal liquid, so that the supercritical carbon dioxide fluid has very good dissolving capacity and can rapidly permeate into micropore substances, and heavy liquefied oil in the coal liquefaction residues can be rapidly and efficiently extracted and separated. According to the extraction method, heavy liquefied oil can be extracted from the coal liquefaction residues only by virtue of the supercritical carbon dioxide generation unit and the extraction unit, so that the technical process is simple, and the problem of complex technical process during the extraction of the coal liquefaction residues in the prior art is overcome.
