The invention discloses a composite insecticidal composition containing pyridalyl and dimehypo and a use thereof. The composite insecticidal composition contains pyridalyl and dimehypo as active insecticidal components and a weight ratio of pyridalyl to dimehypo is 0.1-80: 0.5-80. The composite insecticidal composition can produce good synergism, overcomes and delays insect resistance to pesticides, has a fast insecticidal rate and a long persistent period, reduces a pesticide cost and has prevention and control effects obviously higher than that of a single-ingredient pesticide. The composite insecticidal composition can prevent and control lepidoptera pests of crops, especially can be used for preventing and controlling cotton bollworm and stem borers and has effects obviously higher than that of a single-ingredient pesticide.
