The invention relates to a garbage basket. The garbage basket is characterized by comprising a disc-shaped basket bottom, wherein an edge is arranged on the disc-shaped basket bottom; the disc-shaped basket bottom is connected with an extension rod; the top end of the extension rod is connected with an elastic rope; the other end of the elastic rope penetrates through a through hole in the extension rod; and fixing clamps for fixing a garbage bag are arranged on the elastic rope. The garbage basket has the following beneficial effects: the elastic rope on the garbage basket is made of an elastic material, and can be freely bent; the elastic rope penetrates through the through hole and the diameter of the circle formed from the elastic rope can be freely adjusted; the disc-shaped basket bottom is connected with the extension rod and the height of the extension rod can be adjusted, so that the garbage basket can adapt to different garbage bags or plastic bags; the edge is arranged on the disc-shaped basket bottom to prevent the plastic bags or the garbage bags from leaking waste liquid; and the garbage basket has such advantages as simple structure, practicability, convenience and capability of adapting to the garbage bags or the plastic bags with any size.
