The invention provides a diatom ooze composite material filter and a manufacturing method thereof, relates to an air filter and a manufacturing method thereof, and particularly relates to a filter which takes diatom ooze as a main material and contains other auxiliary filtering materials including active carbon, stick crystal powder, sepiolite and titanium dioxide and the like, and a manufacturing method thereof. A lower framework is arranged at the lower surface of an upper framework; a honeycomb board is arranged in a framework; and honeycombs of the honeycomb plate are filled with filtering grain materials. The method is simple and easy to carry out. The framework of the filter is of an assembling form and the grain materials can be replaced at any time so that the unnecessary wastes are avoided. The manufacturing material contains two main filtering materials so that the mixed grains can be widely used for adsorbing harmful gas and dust. The defect that the adsorption capability on micro-molecular gas by the traditional active carbon is poor is overcome. The range for treating gas is wide, the treatment effect is improved and the problem of an existing filter is solved.
