Summary:The invention discloses a digging method and device for compound words. The method comprises obtaining a part-of-speech sequence set; extracting compound words with part-of-speech sequences in accordant with the part-of-speech sequence set in a corpus and storing the compound words in a first dictionary; determining whether secondary digging is needed; returning to the steps of obtaining of the part-of-speech sequence set if secondary digging is needed. By means of the method and the device, the compound words in the corpus are dug circularly according to the part-of-speech sequence set, and wide-coverage-range compound words digging can be achieved.
