Abstract The invention provides a tilting pad bearing for a rotor shaft of a steam turbine, which comprises an upper pad block and a lower pad block. The pad circular arc central axis of the lower pad block is coincided with the central axis of the rotor shaft; the pad circular arc central axis of the upper pad block is positioned below the central axis of the rotor shaft; the pad circular arc middle positions of both the upper pad block and the lower pad block are provided with axial mounting holes; pad block rotating shafts are arranged in the mounting holes; the pad circular arc radius of the upper pad block is greater than that of the lower pad block. The invention solves the problem of stability of an upper pad block system of the tilting pad bearing for the rotor shaft of the steam turbine so as to enable stability of an oil film between a bearing and the rotor shaft of the steam turbine to be high, thereby enabling safety of operation of the steam turbine to be high.
