The invention discloses a suspending agent of chlorosalicylamide as a snail control drug and a preparation method thereof. The suspending agent comprises chlorosalicylamide as an active component and assistant additives and is prepared from 1-45 parts by weight of a chlorosalicylamide raw drug and the balance the assistant additives. The assistant additives comprise a wetting agent, a dispersant, a thickening agent, an antifreezing agent and an antifoaming agent. The preparation method comprises the following steps of uniformly mixing a chlorosalicylamide wet material obtained by chemical synthesis and then centrifugal separation is mixed with the assistant additives according to the ratio of chlorosalicylamide as the active component to the assistant additives, and crushing the mixture until 95% of cumulative grain sizes are less than or equal to 5 microns.
