The method comprises the steps that a BSC (Base Station Controller) judges whether ABIS interface link delay is beyond the maximum tolerant delay of one-step access, and if so, converts the access way of accessing a terminal to the satellite site into two-step access. The invention also discloses a device for processing too long link delay of the satellite site. The method and device for processing too long link delay of the satellite site solve the problem that a grouping service cannot be carried out normally due to the too long link delay of the satellite site.
