The extra thick slab is produced by a straight arc-shaped slab continuous casting machine; air pressure and water pressure of a secondary cooling jet are 0-0.2MPa and 0.2-2.0MPa respectively; the air pressure and the water pressure of the cooling jet at the vertical section are 0.3-0.6MPa and 0.3-0.8MPa respectively; the air pressure and the water pressure of the cooling jet at the curved section are 0.2-0.5MPa and 0.25-0.75MPa respectively; the air pressure and the water pressure of the cooling jets at the arc-shaped section and the straightened section are 0.15-0.45MPa and 0.2-0.7MPa respectively; and the air pressure and the water pressure of the cooling jet at the horizontal section are 0.1-0.35MPa and 0.1-0.6MPa respectively.
