Abstract | Provided are a rider characteristics assessment device capable of assessing the characteristics of a rider driving a straddle-ridden vehicle, and a straddle-ridden vehicle provided with said rider characteristics assessment device. The rider characteristics are assessed from the straddle-ridden vehicle's turning movement which appears as a result of an event wherein the rider drives the straddle-ridden vehicle. Therefore, it is possible to stably make characteristics assessment, irrespective of individual driving and operating actions of the rider. Furthermore, the turning quality score of the vehicle is calculated on the basis of at least one or more vehicle states having influences on steering angles of the straddle-ridden vehicle, said states being a roll direction-related state, a pitch direction-related state, and a caster angle-related state. Consequently, it is possible to appropriately evaluate the turning quality of the straddle-ridden vehicle. |
