Abstract | The disclosure is directed to a composition comprising: a matrix of a titanium oxide-rich slag having a plurality of metallic iron granules distributed therethrough, the metallic iron granules being mechanically separable from the matrix of titanium oxide, whereby applying mechanical 10 means to the composition would result in the matrix comprising less than 6% metallic iron particles less than about 50 microns in diameter and greater than 85% titanium oxides based on the entire weight of the matrix after mechanical separation and a method for producing the same. |
