Abstract | Disclosed is a chemical analysis device which is highly reliable through testing the state of expelled air, where an automatic chemical analysis device reaction vessel agitates a reaction liquid by expelling air from air expelling outlets provided above the vessel towards the reaction liquid, the target of agitation, contained within the vessel. Furthermore, in the reaction vessel, it is possible to thoroughly clean a reaction area without causing damage such as detaching coated reagents, etc. A reaction vessel placement platform (reaction disk) (161) is provided with a pore (240) and a pressure detection means (241) connected to said pore. By moving the expelling outlets (nozzles) (170) before and after agitation while air is being expelled and comparing the values detected by the pressure detection means with the initially determined normal value, it is possible to ensure that the agitation mechanism is working normally.
