The invention discloses a portable piston-type water mist fire extinguisher, which comprises a switch valve assembly (1), a case (3), a piston (4), a base (5), a charge valve assembly (6), a bottom cover (7), a retaining ring for bore (8) and a nozzle (11), wherein the switch valve assembly (1) is arranged at the upper part of the case (3), the piston (4) is arranged in the case (3), the inner cavity of the case (3) is divided into two cavities, wherein the upper cavity is filled with water, the lower cavity is filled high-pressure air, and the base (5) is limited under the case (3) through the retaining ring for bore (8); the charge valve assembly (6) is arranged at the base (5) and is used for filling air into the lower cavity; and the nozzle (11) is arranged at the switch valve assembly (1) and is used for generating fine water mist.
