The invention discloses a method for realizing an electronic bookmark, a user terminal and a bookmark server, which are used for solving the problems that the electronic bookmark cannot be used in an encrypted electronic book and different user terminals cannot accurately position the content of the electronic book. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring offset of the electronic bookmark, which is set by a user, in the electronic book; and storing bookmark information comprising an electronic book identifier of the electronic book and the offset of the electronic bookmark, wherein the bookmark information serves as a file independent of the electronic book to be saved. By the method for realizing the electronic bookmark, the user terminal and the bookmark server, the electronic bookmark function can be used in the encrypted electronic book, and different user terminals can accurately position the content of the electronic book through the electronic bookmark.
