Abstract The invention discloses a method and a device for starting up/closing down a power-uninterrupted magnesium electrolysis bath with non-stopping power. The method comprises that: a short circuit switch is arranged between the cathode and the anode of the magnesium electrolysis bath; and the short circuit switch is connected in parallel with a short circuit bus which is arranged between the cathode and the anode; and the short circuit switch and the short circuit bus are closed or opened alternatively for realizing closing/opening the power-uninterrupted electrolysis bath.
