Abstract Disclosed is an apparatus for dosing liquids into a gas-filled chamber. Said apparatus comprises a pump (1), a dosing opening (2) for introducing the liquid into the gas-filled chamber, a conduit (3) which connects the pressure side of the pump to the dosing opening, and an elastic liquid reservoir (4). The conduit is fitted with a cut-off valve (5) between the pump (1) and the dosing opening (2). The elastic liquid reservoir (4) is disposed between the pump and the cut-off valve (5). The disclosed apparatus features a first mode of operation in which the pump runs while the cut-off valve is closed in order to store a certain amount of liquid under pressure in the elastic liquid reservoir.
