Abstract A method for preventing the moving in a telepresence system comprises a plurality of cameras. Each camera is provided with a corresponding visual field used for viewing one or a plurality of users. The visual field is provided with transverse edges. The system also comprises a plurality of restricting components. Each restricting component is positioned by the corresponding transverse edges of one visual field along the visual fields of a plurality of cameras, so that the viewed user which is positioned to one visual field in a plurality of cameras respectively is restrained by the restricting component and does not move to the outside of each visual field in which the viewed user is positioned.
