Abstract | An antenna structure is comprised of a body (10), an antenna element (12) coupled with the body (10), and an arm support (14) coupled with the body (10) and the antenna element ((12). The arm support (14) also includes a recessed portion (15) on one side adapted to receive a two-sided customizable plate (16). The customizable plate (16) is made of a non-metallic material. The customizable plate (16) is further adapted to fit within the recess and can be adhered to the recessed portion (15) of the arm support (14). The customizable plate (16) can also be graphically customized to display a viewable image. In addition, the customizable plate (16) can be imprinted with a metallized pattern (20) on the side that faces the recessed portion (15) when seated in the arm support (14). The imprinted metallized pattern (20) can beneficially affect the performance characteristics of the antenna element (12). |
