Summary:The present invention provides a plasma display device which comprises a main body of panel. A pair of substrates is oppositely arranged in the main body of the panel to form a discharge area between the substrates, and at least one substrate is provided with barriers spacing the discharging space into a plurality of discharging spaces. Furthermore, the substrates are provided with electrode groups in order to generate electric discharge in the discharge space spaced by the barriers. At the same time the main body of the panel is provided with a phosphor layer which radiates because of electric discharge. The phosphor layer comprises a green phosphor layer which is at least composed of the mixture of Zn2SiO4:Mn. The surface of Zn2SiO4:Mn is coated by aluminum oxide, and furthermore, the ratio of Al to Si measured by an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) apparatus on the surface is above 0.6 but not more than 4.0.
