Abstract The present invention relates to an input device and manufacturing method thereof and an electro-optical device. The provided input device can improve the concept design performance of the electronic appliance with the input unit, and can also improve the reliability ideally.The input device of the invention (40A) is characterized in that: an input panel (a touching panel) (4) having a cover element (45) of a containing part (45a) for holding the touching panel (4), and having a surface (4s) at side of the input operation of the touching panel (4) in the containing part (45a) and a bonding film (a flexibility element) (30) at side surface (45s) of the input operation surface of the cap element (45).
