The present invention provides a method for improving the drawbacks of propolis with excellent performance that is adhesion to container, inside of oral cavity or throat and flavor enhancement difficulty without the use of substances having the danger of hindering the absorption of milk protein, etc., and provides a propolis extract with improved water dispersibility wherein the above drawbacks have been relieved. The present invention is a propolis extract obtained from alcohol, also is a propolis extract with improved water dispersibility, produced by heating a propolis extract obtained by alcohol extraction in the presence of sodium carbonate or/and sodium hydrogen carbonate.
