Abstract | The present invention relates to a optical disk playback device capable of raising layback performance and its control method for laser output. The described optical disk playback device includes optical pick-up portion capable of making light be irradiated on the optical disk and outputting RF signal, dither detection portion capable of detecting out dither phenomenon from signal outputted from optical pick-up portion and output increment and decrement judgement portion capable of utilizing numerical value obtained from dither detection portion to judge that the laser output has increment and decrement phenomenon or not. The control method for the described laser output includes the following steps: detecting out dither value from RF signal outputted from optical pick-up portion; judging that said dither value is below a certain standard or not; if said dither value exceeds a certain standard, changing laser output, then detecting laser output being in optimum dither performance state. |
