Summary:The present invention provides thermosensitive recording materials that allow excellent stampability, prevent sticking, represent less image-density decrease due to image-shielding by protective layers, and generate less printing residual matters on heads. Specifically, the present invention provides thermosensitive recording materials which comprise a protective layer, a thermosensitive recording layer and a support in this order, wherein the thermosensitive recording layer develops a color by heating, the protective layer comprises a binder resin and an inorganic filler, the content of the inorganic filler is 150 to 400% by mass based on the binder resin, and the protective layer comprises crosslinked polymethylmethacrylate particles.
