Certain phthalocyanine dyes disclosed herein are water soluble, and possess photophysical and photochemical profiles useful for use in imaging or therapy. La présente invention concerne des colorants à base de phtalocyanine et des conjugués de ceux-ci, utiles en tant que rapporteurs fluorescents pour des bioanalyses, pour l'imagerie optique et en tant que conjugués thérapeutiques en tant qu'agents photosensibilisants dans des photothérapies comprenant la photo-immunothérapie (PIT). Certains colorants à base de phtalocyanine selon la présente invention sont solubles dans l'eau, et possèdent des profils photophysiques et photochimiques utiles pour utilisation en imagerie ou en thérapie.
