Abstract | The invention relates to the use of an alcohol dehydrogenase of sequence ID No. 1, which contains metal ions and a quinone cofactor, or of a functional variant thereof having a sequence identity of at least 80%, preferably at least 86%, particularly preferred at least 89%, and at least one redox cofactor for transforming at least one trichothecene having a hydroxy group at the C3 atom, and to a method for the enzymatic transformation of trichothecenes and to a trichothecene-transforming additive.
