The invention relates to a method for finishing a wood board with an upper face and a lower face. A layer of liquid synthetic resin is first applied at least onto the upper face or the lower face, and at least one paper ply soaked with a synthetic resin is then applied. The structure is then pressed in a press under high pressure and at a high temperature, wherein the synthetic resin melts and is connected to the upper face or the lower face of the wood board. The invention is characterized in that the upper face and/or the lower face is provided while still having a press skin and in an unwounded state, and the layer is applied so thinly that the liquid synthetic resin is completely drawn into the press skin, the layer is not actively dried, and the paper ply is positioned on the press skin. L'invention concerne un procédé de finition d'un panneau en matériau dérivé du bois, présentant une face supérieure et une face inférieure. Une couche composée de résine synthétique liquide est tout d'abord appliquée au moins sur la face supérieure ou la face inférieure, une couche de papier imprégné d'une résine synthétique est ensuite appliquée, après quoi cette structure est compressée dans une presse à haute pression et à haute température, et la résine synthétique est fondue et liée à la face supérieure ou à la face inférieure du panneau en matériau dérivé du bois. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce que la face supérieure et/ou la face inférieure est fournie encore munie d'une pellicule de pressage et non poncée, en ce que la couche est appliquée de manière si mince que la résine synthétique liquide entre entièrement dans la pellicule de pressage, en ce qu'aucun séchage actif n'est effectué, et en ce que la couche de papier est posée sur la pellicule de pressage.
