Abstract L'invention concerne un procédé de détection in vitro d'une infection par un virus de l'hépatite C (VHC) dans un échantillon biologique, comprenant la détection simultanée de la protéine de capside de VHC, et d'un anticorps dirigé contre ladite protéine de capside, ce procédé utilisant, pour capturer les anticorps anti-capside, un peptide comprenant un fragment antigénique dérivé de la capside de VHC tronquée. L'invention concerne aussi le peptide pour capturer les anticorps anti-capside et les trousses le comprenant. The invention relates to a method of in-vitro detection of an infection with a hepatitis C virus (HCV) in a biological sample, comprising the simultaneous detection of the HCV capsid protein and of an antibody directed against said capsid protein, said method using, for capturing the anti-capsid antibodies, a peptide comprising an antigenic fragment derived from the truncated HCV capsid. The invention also relates to the peptide for capturing the anti-capsid antibodies and the kits comprising it.
