Abstract Colloidal detergent composition comprising a continuous liquid phase and a discontinuous solid phase comprising suspended solid particles, the detergent composition comprising less than 15wt% of water, the total ionic strength of the colloidal detergent composition which is present in the liquid phase (TIS1/c) being of less than 4300 mmol/kg, the total ionic strength of the colloidal detergent composition which is present in the solid phase (TISs/c) being of more than 100 mmol/kg, the ratio TISs/c/TIS1/c being above 0.025.
