The present embodiments are generally directed to an improved imaging member exhibiting various advantages over conventional imaging members. More specifically, the present embodiments are directed to an improved interfacial layer formed from an aqueous-based coating solution which exhibits improved formation and coating properties, such as increased homogeneity and adhesion, and methods for making the same. The aqueous-based coating solution is environment- friendly and avoids the need to use more expensive organic solvents which involve higher safety risks in the manufacturing process. Les présentes réalisations portent généralement sur un élément dimagerie amélioré présentant divers avantages par rapport aux éléments dimagerie conventionnels. Plus spécifiquement, les présentes réalisations portent sur une couche interfaciale améliorée formée dune solution de revêtement à base aqueuse qui présente des propriétés de formation et de revêtement améliorées, comme une homogénéité et une adhésion accrues, et des méthodes de fabrication associées. La solution de revêtement à base aqueuse est écologique et évite le recours à des solvants organiques plus onéreux qui impliquent des risques plus élevés pour la sécurité lors de procédés de fabrication.
