The invention relates to a transfer apparatus for conducting a medium, comprising a conducting device (38) having a first lumen (54) that has a first opening (58) and conducts the medium and a second lumen (52) that has a second opening (56), which second opening has a smaller distance from the tip (60) of the conducting device than the first opening, wherein a cover (64) extends spaced apart from the first opening (58), which cover is intersected by the longitudinal axis (55) of the first lumen (54) that has the first opening. Between the cover (64) and the first lumen (54) extends a retaining element (98) for keeping material, through which the conducting device (38) passes, of a closure of a container away from the first opening.
