Electrically conductive crown architecture for a tyre of a heavy duty civil engineering vehicle
The present invention concerns a radial tyre (10) and, more particularly, the sidewalls (20) of same, and the tread (30) of same, with a view to minimising the temperature of the tyre while ensuring the electrical conductivity of same. The tread (30) comprises two wings (311, 312) and a central port...

Summary: | The present invention concerns a radial tyre (10) and, more particularly, the sidewalls (20) of same, and the tread (30) of same, with a view to minimising the temperature of the tyre while ensuring the electrical conductivity of same. The tread (30) comprises two wings (311, 312) and a central portion (32). These components rest on a base layer (33) radially inside the tread (30). The base layer (33) contains a lateral portion (331, 332) partly in contact with a tread wing (311, 312). According to the invention, this tyre crown structure, in contact with the carcass reinforcement, helps constitute a preferential conductive path for electric charges between the rim and the ground when the tyre is mounted on the rim of same and flattened against the ground. |
