| Abstract | A dialysis system, comprising: a chamber including a membrane that is movable in the chamber and that fluidly separates a first portion of the chamber from a second portion of the chamber, the chamber including a first inlet to the first portion and a second inlet to the second portion; and a blood leak sensor associated with the chamber and arranged to detect blood in the first portion of the chamber, wherein the blood leak sensor is arranged to measure a first level in the first portion and a second level in the second portion for comparison of the first and second levels to each other to determine whether blood is present in the first portion. |
