Abstract One aspect of the present invention pertains to a spectacle lens having reflection characteristics in which the following are satisfied in a lower region in which at least one of an object-side surface and an eye-side surface is positioned lower than a fitting point or the optical center when the lens is worn: (1) the average reflectance at normal incidence in a 400 to 500 nm wavelength region is in a range of 1.0 to 15%; and (2) the average reflectance at normal incidence exceeds the average reflectance at normal incidence in a 400 to 500 nm wavelength region of an upper region positioned higher than the lower region when the lens is worn.
