Summary:A method is described comprising: executing a first process (P1), thus producing a first output array (200); writing (500) said first output array (200) into a first memory structure (300); thereafter reading (510) from said first memory structure (300) an input array (210); executing a second process (P2), consuming said input array (210) and producing a second output array (220); writing (520) said second output array (220) into a second memory structure (310); wherein said writing (500) to said first memory structure (300) is in a different order than said reading (510) from said first memory structure (300), such that said input array (210) is a first permutation (600) of said first output array (200); and said writing (520) to said second memory structure (310) is in a different order than said writing (500) to said first memory structure (300) and is in a different order than said reading (510) from said first memory structure (300), such that said second output array (220) is a second permutation (610) of said input array (210), said second permutation (610) being the inverse (700) of said first permutation (600). Apparatus for carrying out the method is also described, especially for decoding data streams encoded with a turbocode.
