Summary:It is important to inquire about the imagery that guides the citizen’s exercise of political subjects, and that, to a large extent, although not exclusively, come from a school education in which a modern paradigm of subjectivity persists. Imaginaries that, as shown in this work, would be crossed by a certain rationality of violence that, by not being made visible and problematized, comes to be naturalized and established as a presupposition of the political subjectivity configured by the discourses that concern the educational policies of the Citizen education. This work examines the ways in which, in contemporary times, political subjectivity is being configured in the discourses of educational policies related to Citizen education in Colombia. To do this, it is proposed to understand political subjectivity as the discursive configuration of a way of understanding the political reality of the historical and social context to which one belongs, and which would imply the type of relationships established with alterity, in particular, and with the political community in general.
