Summary:Reduction of heavy metals in waste water have been done by various methods. However, the method is relatively effective and efficient method of adsorption column system. The experimental design in this study variables remains adsorbent of skin peanuts 50 grams, 40 mesh particle size and the volume of wastewater adsorbent 10 liters of a chemical laboratory, a flow rate of 7 liters/minute. The independent variable adsorption time 0; 5; 10; 15; 20; 30; 60; 90; 120; 150; 180; 210; 240 minutes and type of adsorbent: without activation, physical activation and chemical activation (H2SO4 1N and 1N NaOH). The results showed the adsorption of Pb (II) is influenced by time and type of activation. The highest adsorption capacity for without activation of 1.947 mg / g, physical activation 1.774 mg / g, activation by H2SO4 2.577 mg / g and activation with 1N NaOH 2.893 mg / g at the time of 210 minutes. The highest percent allowance for without activation of 64.98%, 59.21 physical activations, activation by H2SO4 86.02 and activation with 1N NaOH 96.57% at the time of 210 minutes.
